Last night was the first time I've used graphite (in life drawing) for quite a while. It took some getting used to, but I love the sensitivity of it. Used a lead holder and 3B lead. So neat and tidy compared to charcoal too.

Erika was the model for this session. It was my first since before Christmas and it felt pretty great to get back in the studio!

I've uploaded my best drawings from Tuesday night's session - hope you enjoy them. Now I'm off to Mexico for 10 days on a surfari so I won't be posting anything new for a couple weeks, however, I hope to have some good stuff to display upon my return!

I'm looking forward to a good figure drawing session tonight. It will be my last for the next two weeks as I'm headed to Mexico for a 10 day surfari. Hopefully I'll have some decent travel sketches to share when I get back.
